Prices come both ways. Heden and Outsite quote every figure with Portugal's 23 percent VAT (IVA) already inside it. Second Home, LACS and Impact Hub quote before VAT, so the real cost is higher: Second Home's 165 euro roaming desk becomes 202.95 euros, and LACS's 220 euro Flex Desk becomes 270.60. Is a day pass or a monthly membership better value?
A membership usually beats day passes once you work more than about 7 to 11 days a month, depending on the space.
- Second Home: a 30.75 euro day pass (25 plus VAT) matched against the 202.95 euro roaming desk breaks even at about 7 days.
- Outsite Cowork Cafe: 17 euros a day against a 150 euro month breaks even at about 9 days.
- Heden: a 10 euro day pass against a membership from 99 euros breaks even at about 10 days.
- LACS: 24.60 euros a day (20 plus VAT) against a 270.60 euro Flex Desk breaks even at about 11 days.

Below those thresholds, day passes cost less. Above them, the membership wins, and often adds a business address or a mail service on top.
Which spaces work for calls that need a private room?
Heden and Impact Hub are built around calls; a laptop at a shared table is not. Heden sells meeting rooms from 25 euros a session for up to 14 people, with video conferencing equipment and a whiteboard. Match the plan to your week before you match the room to your taste.
- Count the working days. Two a week or fewer favours a day pass or Impact Hub's part time Flex Desk; three or more favours a full membership.
