A 5 year multiple entry visa for remote workers, freelancers and people doing Thai soft power activities (Muay Thai, Thai cooking, medical treatment), plus their spouse and children under 20. Each entry allows 180 days, extendable once at a Thai immigration office for up to 180 more days. You must show bank statements with at least 500,000 THB (the London embassy quotes 12,000 GBP), an employment contract or client work for a non Thai company, and a police clearance certificate issued within 6 months of your submission. Since 31 August 2026 you apply through the official e-Visa portal from the country where you are a national or a permanent resident, never from inside Thailand. The base fee is 10,000 THB, converted by each post (300 GBP in London). The DTV does not allow work for a Thai employer.

Which Portugal visa lets me keep working for a foreign employer?
The D8, Portugal's remote work visa. The official document list asks for average monthly income over the last three months of at least four times the minimum wage (Vistos MNE), so 3,680 euros gross in 2026 at a 920 euro minimum wage (Government of Portugal). Does Visa Check cover EU, EEA and Swiss citizens moving to Portugal?
Yes, and the answer is short: no visa and no AIMA appointment. Within 30 days after your first three months you register at the town hall for a CRUE certificate (Camara Municipal do Porto). What insurance does a Portuguese residency visa require?
Valid travel insurance covering necessary medical expenses, urgent medical assistance and possible repatriation, listed as a general document for every residency visa (Vistos MNE). Consulates in practice also expect private health insurance until you join the SNS, the national health service, and registering there later does not replace the visa cover. How recent are the Portugal visa rules behind Visa Check?
Each rule carries its own start date, and this page was last checked on 26 September 2026. The tool follows the 2026 minimum wage of 920 euros (Government of Portugal) and the 110 euro national visa fee (Vistos MNE). Can I apply for a D7 or D8 from inside Portugal?
No. Both are applied for at the Portuguese consulate covering your country of residence. The manifestacao de interesse route that once let people file from inside the country was abolished on 3 June 2024 by Decree-Law 37-A/2024 (Global Citizen Solutions). The residency visa then gives you four months and two entries to reach your AIMA appointment (Vistos MNE). More: applying while on a tourist stay.
Does Visa Check use Thailand's 30-day exemption rule from 15 September 2026?
Yes. The tool reads dated rules, so from 15 September 2026 it shows the 30-day exemption for the 60 eligible countries and territories announced by the TAT Newsroom, with one extension of up to 30 days at immigration. Can Visa Check tell me whether I qualify for the DTV?
It gives a first screen, not a decision. Pick remote work, a stay of 30 days or more and the 500,000 THB funds band, and the DTV appears with its requirements: 500,000 THB in the bank, work for a company outside Thailand, and a police clearance issued within six months, per the Royal Thai Embassy in London. Does Visa Check cover the 15-day exemption and visa on arrival nationalities for Thailand?
Not as separate lines yet. The TAT Newsroom lists Mauritius and Seychelles for 15 days and Azerbaijan, Belarus and Serbia for visa on arrival. If your passport is not among the 60 exempt countries, the tool shows the routes open to every nationality (tourist visa, DTV, retirement, education, LTR) and no exemption. Why does Visa Check rank the DTV above the tourist visa for remote workers?
Because the ranking rewards a visa whose main purpose matches yours and whose length covers your stay. The exemption is granted for tourism only, as the Royal Thai Embassy in London states, and it is not a work permission. Does Visa Check include retirement, education and family visas for Thailand?
Retirement and education, yes. The retirement route needs age 50 and 800,000 THB in the bank or 65,000 THB of monthly income; the ED visa needs enrolment at an establishment approved by Thai authorities. There is no standalone family visa: a spouse and children under 20 come as DTV or LTR dependants. Compare every route in which Thai visa fits you.
Which Vietnam visa options does Visa Check cover?
Four routes. The 45-day exemption under Resolution 44 (any purpose, until 14 March 2028); the 45-day exemption under Resolution 229 (tourism only, until 14 August 2028); the 90-day e-visa, single or multiple entry, open to every nationality; and the sponsored DN1 and DN2 business visas. Why does Visa Check give a French passport 45 days and a US passport none for Vietnam?
France is one of the 12 countries under Resolution 44: 45 days from entry, any purpose, until 14 March 2028. The United States is on neither exemption list, so the tool shows no visa free days and ranks the 90-day e-visa first. Some 2026 blogs claim otherwise. Which website is the official Vietnam e-visa portal?
The Immigration Department portal at evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn, the address the National Authority of Tourism gives. It charges USD 25 for a single entry and USD 50 for multiple entries, processed in three working days once payment is complete. Lookalike sites buy ads above it and charge several times more, and the fee is not refunded if you are refused: how much the e-visa costs.
What does Visa Check suggest for a stay in Vietnam longer than 90 days?
The e-visa cannot be extended inside Vietnam, so a longer stay means leaving and applying again. The only longer route in the tool is the DN1 or DN2 business visa, valid up to 12 months, which needs a Vietnamese company to sponsor you (LuatVietnam). Does the result change if I enter Vietnam by land instead of by air?
Your allowance does not change: 45 exempt days or 90 e-visa days apply at any open checkpoint. What changes is the paperwork. You name your entry checkpoint on the e-visa application, and 2026 guides count 83 accepted checkpoints: 17 airports, 27 land borders and 39 seaports (Laguna Lang Co).
