A Thailand visa in 2026 costs nothing for a 30-day visa exemption, 1,000 THB for a tourist visa, 10,000 THB for the five-year DTV and 50,000 THB for the Long-Term Resident visa, with 1,900 THB for each extension of stay filed at immigration. Every figure below was checked on 25 September 2026 against an official Thai source.
How much does each Thailand visa cost in 2026?
The baht figure is the reference fee published by the Immigration Bureau (Samut Prakan Immigration fee page) or by the agency that runs the visa. The pound figure is the Royal Thai Embassy in London fee. Other embassies convert the baht fee into their own currency.

How much is the Thailand DTV visa?
The DTV costs 10,000 THB, which the Royal Thai Embassy in London charges as 300 GBP. The Tourism Authority of Thailand set the baht fee when the visa launched on 15 July 2024. For that fee you get a visa valid for five years with multiple entries and 180 days per entry.
The fee is only part of the entry ticket. The London embassy asks for proof of funds of at least 500,000 THB (it quotes 12,000 GBP), and the Tourism Authority describes the same threshold as proof of funds "for the duration of stay". That money is not paid to anyone, but it has to sit in your account when you apply.
The DTV3 category covers the spouse and children under 20 of a DTV holder. DTV3 is a separate application per dependant, so budget for a fee per person unless the embassy states otherwise.
What is the Thailand DTV visa application fee?
The application fee is the visa fee itself: 10,000 THB, or its conversion at the embassy that handles your file. You pay it through the official Thai e-Visa portal, thaievisa.go.th, when you submit. How much does it cost to extend a stay in Thailand?
An extension of stay costs 1,900 THB per application. Samut Prakan Immigration lists "Application for extension of temporary stay: 1,900 baht per time", with no separate rate by visa type. The same fee covers:
- The 30-day extension of a visa exemption or a tourist visa entry, filed on form TM.7.
- The single extension of up to 180 days on a DTV entry, which the London embassy describes as "one time for a period not exceeding 180 days per entry".
- The annual retirement extension on a Non-Immigrant O.
- Each course-based extension on an education visa.

How much does a Non-B visa cost in Thailand?
A Non-Immigrant B visa costs 2,000 THB for a single entry or 5,000 THB for a one-year multiple entry visa, according to the Immigration Bureau fee list. In London the same visas cost 60 GBP and 150 GBP, and a three-year multiple entry Non-B costs 300 GBP. The Non-B is the route for work with a Thai employer; remote work for a foreign company is what the DTV covers.
What do the long-stay options cost?
The long routes cost far more, and each buys something different. The LTR fee is 50,000 THB per person when the visa is collected in Thailand, according to the Board of Investment portal. It suits salaried remote workers with an average personal income of at least 80,000 USD a year over the past two years, and it replaces the 90-day report with a yearly one.
Retirement visas are cheap to issue and expensive to qualify for. The London embassy asks O-A applicants for a monthly income of at least 65,000 THB or a balance of 800,000 THB, plus health insurance with a sum insured of at least 100,000 USD or 3,000,000 THB.
Thailand Privilege, the former Elite membership, is a paid residence programme rather than a visa fee. Its official site lists these tiers:

What fines and extra costs should you budget for?
The fines are small per day and add up fast. Samut Prakan Immigration states that an overstay costs 500 THB per day, "not exceeding 20,000 baht", paid before you are allowed to leave. Our post on overstaying by three days covers what that looks like at the airport.
A late 90-day report usually settles at 2,000 THB if you come forward and 4,000 THB if you are caught, according to ThaiLawOnline, which cites a legal maximum of 5,000 THB under Section 76 of the Immigration Act.
Three smaller lines complete the budget:
- A re-entry permit, 1,000 THB single or 3,800 THB multiple, if you hold an extension or a single entry visa and plan a trip abroad.
- A certificate of residence, about 200 THB at most offices, which needs your landlord's TM30 filing first.
- Currency conversion, if an embassy charges you in pounds, euros or dollars. The currency check shows what a baht fee costs in your money today.
Is the Thailand Digital Arrival Card free?
Yes. The official portal, tdac.immigration.go.th, is titled "Official Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), No Fees Required". Copycat sites charge for the same form, so check the address before you type anything.
