- Pick the currency you have and the one you need, then type the amount.
- The page asks Frankfurter, a free service that republishes central bank reference rates, for the latest rate of that pair and shows the date that rate was published.
- Add the percentage your bank, card or transfer service charges. The fee comes off the converted amount, so you see what you receive, the amount before the fee, the fee itself and the effective rate you end up with.
- Your amount never leaves your browser: only the currency pair is sent to fetch the rate.
- A bank's own rate often hides a margin on top of its stated fee. Compare the amount it quotes with the reference line here to see the real cost.
